looks like i've only been updating my blog every 10 days.... hmmm.... anyway, i guess it's a good sign to be busy. well, at least i have a job to do and a darn hard job. much better than people who are jobless, so i have no complaints. At least it brings food to the family table.
being busy, being in a different role is good. These few weeks, i discovered new things about myself. Some of these things... well, i never knew i was able to do it.
1) so far, with so many deadlines to meet, i have not really screwed up any deadlines. i was able to juggle and yeah, multi task, the buzz word. if i have the free time, i will be thinking what else to do next, what else to plan next. sometimes, i carry this book with me to note down my thoughts and planning.
2) i never knew i could do presentations in front of so many people. never knew that i can conduct a workshop.
3) i learnt that you have to seize the opportunity if you want to shine. and once you get the opportunity, you must make use of it well.
4) i learnt that in life, many things are to be packaged nicely and 'sell koyok'. if you dun show, people won't know.
ok, enough said, after walking one whole round of Bedok Reservoir, i'm mentally and physically exhausted. go home, still have to play with son son.... he is getting so cute by the day.
we came to earth with nothing, we will leave with nothing. Why do we worry about what people think?

not been updating because been very very very very very very busy...... and on top of this, am troubled with finding a house.
well, it's not that we can't find a house... 1st problem: the seller would not sell at valuation. i have a gut feeling that if we offer 18k or 20k above valuation, he may sell. but i dun have the money to make that kind of offer. plus not forgetting i have to fork out 5% cash payment on top of this.
then, there is another seller, selling the house without a valuation, then how can people offer? anyway, now pending for valuation report to come out... then according to the agent of this seller, there are a few interested buyers.. well, we'll see. we'll make our offer, if cannot, then too bad.
sigh... where to look for $60k??? back to work

wishlist
i change my wishlist again.... after much thought, i think getting another new hp is not practical... hmmm, then why did i include it in the first place? ohhhhh, the power of advertisement....
instead of getting a new phone, think more practical is to increase the storage space of my hp and my digi cam. my dear sis gave us a digi cam as xmas present.... anyway, if i want to take pics, i have my digi cam, if i want to listen to music, i still have my trusty ipod mini, if i want to organise my task/appointment, i still have my trusty pda.
as for my new hobby, it was not really new.... i had been taking pictures since .... that was when i was taught to take the sky, clouds etc etc.... well, i learnt to appreaciate nature and more observant of nature around me... i did stop for some time.... but after i went to melbourne, it kind of click in me again. as someone said... Our first few stops were to tour around the melbourne city:
Parliament house

then it's to alfresco lunch beside the Yarra River
then it's more visiting to:
Museum
Captain Cook's Cottage
then it's back to the hotel to check in. well, the place looks clean and decent.
at night, it was to the Crown Casino. nice fire displays we saw.
and i've been inside the casino. not to gamble, juz to check out wat it is like inside the casino. only in there for about 15 mins
30th Nov
On way to Phillip Island to watch the penguin parade. on the way there, we stop by:
Sunny Ridge Strawberry farm for some strawberry picking
We had ice cream after we picked the strawberries
Had fish and chips for lunch
wildlife wonderland where our students have close contact with the animals
wombat
feeding the kangaroo
ostrich
Seal rock (beautiful sunset)
then last of all, penguin parade. We are not allowed to take photos or video the penguins. so we took some pics at the visitor centre
after we went back to the hotel, some debrief session
1st Dec
Great Ocean Road!!!
the beginning
then we had lunch at (i can't remember the town)
the 12 apostles
Loch Ard Gorge
London bridge
Some group presentation at night
2nd Dec
considered the last day. went to Sovereign Hill, basically, this is an interactive museum where there are people dressed in period costumes, re-enacting the 1800s. cool. The students have the most fun here, panning for gold.
real gold smith
pose for the camera :)
real horse
man in police costume, 'threatening' one of us with the 'sword'
in the tunnel experiencing the miners' working condition
demonstration on how to pan for gold
our students serious at panning
then the rest of the day is for shopping. had a chance to sit in a horse carriage.
