hmmm, where do i begin? it's really not an easy task to be a care giver of a disabled person. I just learnt that there are some things in life that we take for granted and only when you are caring for someone disabled or being one yourself, then you realise it.

take for example, we all take for granted how fortunate we are to have two legs. imagine if you have only one leg, a simple task like wearing your pants, you need someone to help you. While we have two legs, it's easy for us to balance ourselves in a slippery toilet, but minus one leg, you will notice how important it is that the toilet must be extra dry.

well, everyday is a learning process. there is a mistake, we learn from the mistake. we improvise our home to accomodate people.

No....just say that you have been very luck so far in life that you don't have to be a care-giver to anyone before.

Me....aged parents, worst when they fell ill and became totally dependent on you. Even more worst if there is no other in the family to help both with moral support or with $$$$. Then your own family will also suffer a "back-slide" in overall lifestyle. Eg no more oversea holidays, eating in more often, tighter $$$$.

In the end....it is still you who shall face with all the shits of being a care-giver. At most, people will give you some encouragements like....bless you, god will look after you in future, what a good son or daughter you are, for your case....what a good daugther-in-law you are.

Frankly....they are just pushing the bugs to you and they will wash their hands. If the one you are caring is "rich" then you won't get the chance to be a care-giver hahaha. Everyone in the family will be fighting to be one.

Me....I do it becoz I have no other choice, and not becoz I am a saint.
