i was stuck in the lift yesterday evening!

went into the lift, then this lady walked in. while the door was about to be fully close, she suddenly remembered something and she pressed door open as she wanted to go out. that is when the lift got stuck.

we tried so many things, the door could neither open nor close. and this is the new lift after lift upgrading, with those little windows which we can look out. so we tried pushing the door towards each other to close it tight.

great, the lift moved but only a little then it got stuck. then the alarm was so loud. so we called the hotline.

but it was quite embarrassing as it was evening time and many people were coming home at that time. so they see these 2 ladies stuck inside. but they were very helpful. they asked if we called, we said yes. actually we didn't say, the alarm was so loud, we couldn't hear them anyway. so it was a lot of actions. i had to cover my ears because the alarm was so loud!

come to think of it, i should have taken a picture or taken a video. anyway, that is so not our generation.

luckily, it was only for 15 mins that i was stuck.

later on during dinner, i find out that 3M were very spontaneous in their reactions. i sms dear dear to tell him that i'm stuck, so i would be late. so he came down to take a look. 3M also came out of the house, but didn't follow to the 1st storey. but they were worried.

later when the technician came, dear dear told them that the technician has arrived to rescue mummy, they were on the 10th storey, they stood at the lift lobby, waiting for the lift door to open (there is this other lift that was working) they clasped their hands as if praying like that, waiting anxiously for the lift door to open to see me. when they finally saw me, they ran to hug me.

i asked marcus and mabel why they were so worried. marcus said that he was afraid that i would die. because he was afraid that there was no air in the lift and mabel said that plus, i'm still coughing.

then i asked them what happened if i die like ah zhor. mabel's answer is very pragmatic, coffin, funeral, then burial. marcus' answer was more humane. he said that after the burial, of course, he would think of me every night.

so anyway, i gave them all three a big hug. it was not a big ordeal, but at least i know they cared for me.
