June 10 2010 - Day 5 of vacation

After breakfast, we headed to Jenolan Caves. I was the driver. This was one of the most challenging drive I ever had driven. There were bends and corners, there were downhill. U really had to brake and go slow. When we were near to Jenolan Caves, it was really steep and the corners were sharp. We had to travel at about 15 or 20, at most 40km/h. Just before we reached Jenolan Caves, there is this small stretch of road that goes through the cave. It was interesting. This is sure one of the most interesting drive I had ever driven. Really test my driving skills.

When we reached the caves and enquired at the ticket office, we realize that a guided tour would take 1 and half hour. It will be too late for us to get to the airport for Aunt Sue to catch the flight. So we decided to take some pictures and head to the airport.

nice little town:

so many information on the different caves you can tour:

When we wanted to backtrack, the road was closed for maintenance, until 1.15pm. We panicked. There should be another way back to the city. For about roughly 20 mins or so or 20km or so, the GPS kept telling us to ‘if possible, make a u turn’ It makes u worried if you are on the right track or driving further and further away.

Soon after, it recalculated another route and the drive was 3 and half hours. Finally reached the international airport in time for Aunt Sue to catch her flight back.

Then, we drove back to Uncle Victor’s house. My turn to drive. Although it was only 30km or so, the traffic is bad, hence by the time we reached, it was already 6 plus.

We had dinner, showered. The children had some karaoke session. Wanted to post more blog entries, but… so anyway, managed to post only 1 post that night.
