frustrating day

the day began with frustration.

first, anticipated Mabel to come out with some excuse on Sunday night not to go to school. thought settled her.

Last night, Max came into the room to say that he doesn't want to go to school. Faint. Talked to him, managed to persuade him and convince him to go to school.

This morning, doubled checked max, he's ok to go to school.

When i reached school, my handphone rang, it was Mabel. She said that she wanted to go home. I refused and insisted that she stays in school. She cried, she called me a second time.

Mabel, sorry, I had to put a stop to this nonsense. Every term when school reopens, you will come out with some excuse just to avoid school on the first day. I do not know why you are avoiding school. Is it because you don't like to go to school? who likes to go to school or go to work? I also dread going to work but the day has to come, it has to come. Then face it. Where is your resilience? You have to mentally prepare yourself to face it. You didn't, that's why you feel this way Avoiding it is not a solution.

Try not to accommodate children for their likings too much. Over pampering is another issue. Especially towards end of school hols. Slowly phase in the normal school routine. If u give them lots of fun and outings at the last minute, chances are they will be reluctant to go school.
