school holidays is holiday for students, not teachers. in fact, students who are taking major exams, PSLE, O level, A level, is no holiday for them either. hence, if students have extra lessons during holidays, so who will conduct these lessons? teachers. so may i clarify for the profession, holidays are no holidays for teachers either.
They have to prepare exam papers, do their half year work review, tidy up the past half year's things, get ready for the next half a year. life and work is still as hectic. It's just a break from the students and teaching.
And holidays are for teachers to catch up with their family members.

yes....I understand. guess the days where teachers can have the same peace and freedom are gone esp during school holidays.
