6 June 2010 (1st day of vacation)

It’s the first day of vacation. Woke up at 7am, Sydney time, washed up and had coffee. Uncle Victor also woke up early and being a very nice host, he showed us the backyard, the plants he planted, he told us a lot of things. He even let us sit in his 2 mercedes benz cars which are extremely cheap as compared to Singapore. We talked for about 2 hours, before every one woke up.

so after breakfast and looking around the neighbourhood, we finally moved out at about 12 noon, close to 1pm. Uncle Victor lent us his Toyota To dunno wat, which is aka, estima in Singapore’s context. So with a GPS in hand, we moved off to hunters valley.

I did manage to drive for a while on the motorway, which was speed limit 110. Had to catch up with time a little as sun sets at about 4 something, and we had not yet gone to the supermarket to buy food for dinner.

A wrong left turn brought us to Coles (thanks to me!! Can you imagine, with GPS, I can still turn left at the wrong turning, how stupid can I be?) quickly bought food and some wine and we left to quickly find our accommodation.

When we reached, after we settled down our stuff, we realize that there is only a microwave. So we innovated and hubby, my sis and mabel went to bbq some food while aunt sal and me cooked some food using the microwave.

We had dinner at about 6pm. By then, it was pitch dark. We sat round the table and ate and had a slow talk until about 9pm. Cool, nice long dinner.

Then we all took turns to shower. As I was blogging this via Microsoft word (had to pay for the wifi) some are bathing and I think we are all going to have a game of UNO after shower.

But we will rest early because we planned to wake up at about 730am tomorrow morning for breakfast and check out time is 10am. Then we are going to visit the vineyards before we make our way to Port Stephens.
