June 8 2010- day 3 of vacation

Woke up this morning, ate a quick breakfast. Then we quickly went to the marina to board the boat that takes us out for dolphin watching.

We were too early when we reached there so we brought the kids to the playground.

When it was time, we boarded the boat. After some time, the captain spotted the dolphins and asked us to look. We went to the bottom deck, we spent some time looking at the dolphins. The dolphins came close to us and came to the surface to breathe. The kids were delighted.

After that, we had a quick lunch and then we head off to our sand boarding.
WE boarded a red trailer at about 130pm, Sydney time. When we first saw the sand dune, the slope that we had to slide down, we were a little frightened. But after some quick demonstration, we tried and it was not frightening at all. Every body had a chance at sand boarding, twice at least. Some people went more times. The sliding down was fun, but the climbing was difficult. It’s worse than climbing up the stairs, we were panting when we came up. When we see the red trailer again, about 45 mins later, we decided to go back.

After we washed off the sand, it’s time to head to Blue Mountains. It was already 3 something in the afternoon and the journey is about 296km. Estimated time of arrival was 5.40pm. But then, it would be dark.

However, we reached our destination at about 7 plus, due to the heavy traffic and numerous traffic lights at/around Sydney.

This accommodation here is very nice. It’s huge and it’s brrrrrrr, cold. We are going to stay 2 nights here.
