nice cold weather

i actually like this cold weather. imagine, Perth and sydney is hotter than Singapore. But i must agree that the rain brings many inconvenience to people, but since we always complain that it's hot, let's just quit complaining about the rain and enjoy the nice cool weather.

A soft generation we are raising

Yesterday, max asked me when I am buying the 2 wheel scooter for him, I replied him in a matter of fact tone, is it his birthday?

That shut him up. Although I am tempted to buy one for him, wr have to teach him to wait. Things are not instantaneous.

Buying material things for your children does not make up for the time you don't spend with them. You still got to accompany them. You still got to play with them.

Do not spoil your kids and give them everything they want. What if next time, they saw a ferrari and wants one? What if they like a certain girl but the girl doesn't like him? Are you going to help him find a girlfriend too? Buy a girl?????? Train your kids and toughen them up.

Last weekend before cny

U don't have to be in Chinatown, tampines neighborhood can be equally crowded and there is a traffic jam in the carpark!

Horns sounded, I can imagine in the car, the man driving and cursing and swearing and blaming the wife, 'see la, dun want to buy early? See today so crowded? Can't even get a parking lot.' etc etc

I am so glad I lived near the neighborhood, I'm so glad I bought my stuff yesterday.

Shopping for food at giant

Last night decided to go giant to do cny food buying. Came at 8am, already many many people. It seems like there was fresh salmon, people were queuing like crazy.

Quickly grabbed my food, then pay at cashier. It was only 10 am when I was leaving, but the carpark was so full.

Low morale

Ever since that incident on wednesday at work, i've been feeling low morale while working.

These two nights, I didn't bring home work to do. I spent time going through my children's one instead, I felt happier.

Nightmares

I had 2 nightmares last night. First, I dreamt that I reverse and knock another car, it was quite badly damaged and I had to call a tow truck. Woke up with a shock.

Went back to sleep again, this time I dreamt that as I was reversing, I knock into a lamp post. Not badly damaged, but I was driving a Subaru WRX, orange in colour, only remembered the number plate start with SGB.

Woke up again, feeling scared to have dreamt about accidents.

Revising work with children took me 1 hour plus. Tired, but I hope it's worth it.

Though it's tiring, but u know it's worth it and dedinitely more fulfilling, why should I spend so much time on my work after office hours? After what happened at work place today, really low morale.

Anger And frustration at work

What do other companies outside do when their employees go on mc?

So far, we do help out with others when they go on mc, ( I have to b careful wif my words) and if we go on mc and others helped us, we know we kind of have to 'pay back' when we return from mc.

On Monday, I was told to help out. So far, I've prevented myself from getting mc this year, on mon, 10 people were on mc, ok, nvm, help out though a bit not happy.

Yesterday, I took child care, brought Marcus to see doc. Then this morning when I came back to work, I had to help out again????

I was very very angry. It doesn't help when u were distracted too. I feel like throwing in the towel and quit the job.

this is my worst day.

Marcus' sinus problem

brought marcus to see an ENT specialist for his sinus problem. time to really solve his sinus problem. had been sweeping it under the carpet for years, yesterday, the problem surfaced again, i think we got to settle this once and for all. so in the morning, i googled for ENT specialist. somehow this clinic and this doctor just seem to bounce out from the screen. the location is important like it is not at paragon, Mount E or Gleneagles. parking is not a problem.

After registration, well, private clinic is really different. the service, the drinks and titbits are free for you to drink and the magazines are different. They were also nicely placed on the shelves. Well, i guess you pay for the service.

So after a scope through his nose, his sinus problem is due to allergy. so after doing the prick test for allergy, realised he is allergic to dust mite. Well, we went for the first line of treatment, that is to clear his nasal first and in the mean time, he has to refrain from being too close to the hamster and we have to make sure his environment is quite dust free, especially his bed, pillow and blanket.

come to think of it, marcus has a string of problems. his teeth, his nose and another thing that i need to do for him is his flat foot.

yesterday, during the diagnosis, it was actually quite an eye opener to see the scope, the inside of the nostril. It's interesting and knowledgeable. I think his price is reasonable, a specialist's consultation fee, $90, medication, $100 plus. it was the prick test and the scope that is expensive, but that can be claimed from Medisave. so total bill is $495. plus if marcus has heallthshield, which i think he has, should be able to claim too. just that claiming takes 2-3 months.

Puffy

Eyes felt puffy this morning. No amount of make up can seem to hide it.

They say eyes are the window to our souls, I wonder what people can see in my eyes.

Lady driver

Today on the way home, traveling along ecp, this lady driver in her brand new car, sjv, brake to a very slow speed, less than 40, to wait for the long vehicle on the left to pass so that she would go in and exit at bayshore park.

Hello lady, u fail your basic theory??? If u want to exit, keep left earlier. Worse, brake to reduce speed on ecp!!!

I wonder, given my bad temper, y didn't I horn her? I would love to, but my mind was on other important thing.

But she did piss me.

Of bra and self esteem

Was just packing and placing my bra properly. Domestic helper don't really bother, they just squeeze in everything and this spoils the shape of the bra.

Sorry, not I particular, just that, maybe I don't have big breasts, so padded bra are very important in enhancing my self esteem. A dent in the shape of the bra is a dent on my self esteem.

Doc visiting trips

Yesterday I saw a doctor for my LS. Hope it is better today.

Last night, Marcus' nose was very blocked and he couldn't sleep, after Sopia gave him some medicine, he still couldn't sleep and was crying. He cried because i didn't go and take a look at him? Maybe. Anyway, went to his room after I heard him crying, he needed a big hug. Gave him a big hug and sent him back to sleep, promise to bring him to see a dic today, was wondering if a ENT specialist is better.

Alarm clock

Bought Sopia an alarm clock as she sometimes could not wake up on time. But in the end, she probably set her alarm at 525, so when it rand, it is quite loud, it woke me up as well.

Birthday party

Last night, we all went for joey and cheryl's birthday party. The children all had a good time playing with their friends.

The adults also sat down to chit chat.

What surprised me was Marcus, he was the one who went to talk to the adults, respectful and asking them if they want food. He surprises me. Even though he's always playing game and always have to yell at him to do things, I think he's still a kind hearted boy.

I'm sure Joey and Cheryl enjoyed their party.

Home organizing

went to organise the shelf a little bit. everything looks neater and it's more organised. realise you get a lot of rubbish piled up at your home as you live. hence, you need to clear the clutter occasionally. Since CNY is coming, treat as spring cleaning too.

P5 science syllabus

did i mention that i realise p5 science has

1) biology? was going through with marcus his science, cell. actually i learnt new things from the assessment book. now i know what is unicellular organism, cytoplasm etc

2) male and female reproductive organs? oops. still thinking on how to approach that chapter.

sigh, i'm short of 4 posts to 20. oh ya, heard my washing machine almost broke down today. please please, don't break down at this moment.

now that my earrings are removed, i must tell myself to wear earrings often, otherwise the hole will close up again.

a busy and tiring day, but fulfilled. I'm losing my voice. help!

Max is sleeping early these two nights. Last night, he slept at 8 plus, today he slept at 7 plus. He is really tired from schooling. but i'm glad that he is enjoying his school.

I heard that the duck rice near his school is super duper nice, one of these days, i must go and try.

mid week liao, hang in there, i can survive the week. almost dying from lack of sleep, didn't manage to finish the die hard 4.0 last night.

i spend the weekend planning for the week's lesson, however, i realise that i still need to make change and adapt to the speed and the learning needs of the students.

sigh, someone said before:

last night, went warren to have dinner with mum and aunties and uncle. I brought the kids to playground after dinner, hubby was talking to aunt sally. suddenly, aunt sharon and mum's voice just got louder and louder, although there was no direct confrontation, but there was certainly tension.

sigh, do you realise every CNY, there is bound to be some issues?

actually both mum and aunt sharon's character are quite alike, typical auntie, i would say. When both of them combine and scold other people, they form a formidable team, but when both of them quarrel with each other, it is ugly.

Max called me this morning and cried on the phone. he said that he wanted me to come home...

i was so tempted to go home to hug and kiss him, but i controlled, cannot spoil him, otherwise i would be criticised for showing favouritism.

Max called again a second time and asked him why i have not come back. got to slowly reason with him. He will learn. while talking to him, i was thinking, what would be the trigger point for me to give in to him? i thought about it and i know the answer. if he says, 'mummy, i miss u.' i will fly straight back home. please don't teach him that!

Max has been having the stomach flu from thursday night onwards. He keeps having this tummy ache, LS, last night, he had a fever and later on, he vomited too.

and i think i got a little virus from him because my tummy is going bla bla bla now, after some coffee.

there are 1001 things to do and yet i'm stuck at the app store for Mac. cool, now Apple has this app store for Mac, looks like buying software is made easier. oooooooh, i'm so tempted.

control!!!!!

I think I'm a sadist, brought children to buy assessment books, $129. This is including some activity books for max and 2 GS books.

Since already at the mall, might as well buy new clothes for ch for cny, marcus and Mabel bought 2 sets each, max bought 1 set, total $234.90.

I'm broke.

Went giant fir grocery shopping and bought so many things. Some are for cny, some food, children's milk, altogether I spent $290. I cannot go shopping alone.

Just love cooking. Will spend the day cooking and doing work. Eating out is expensive.

Marcus went up on stage yesterday to receive his GPA, good progress award. Gave him a kiss.

In the morning, max opened his eye while I adjusted him on the bed. He told me, later when u go, u must hug me and kiss me.

marcus and mabel should be settling in school fast. need to buy assessment books this weekend to get them started on the mood, they had started on some, but those are the old assessment books that i dig out from the store room which i found not very suitable.

find that i'm not diligent enough to check on them every day. hope i can form a good habit of checking on their school work every day.

max is settling in at school quite unexpectedly. This first week is a crucial week. He enjoys school, coping well. I think kinderland is a good choice because the environment is conducive. I must also form a good habit to get max to tell me his school activities every day.

This morning, as i was fetching marcus and mabel to school, max called me on the phone and he cried. he wanted me to go back home. it was painful to hear him cry on the phone and you are not there to sayang him. after marcus and mabel alighted, i rushed home, gave him a hug and a kiss before rushing off to work again.

Do i need to explain my actions? well, this is my explanation, take it or leave it. i did contemplate while driving, should i rush back or not? am i spoiling him? i did so based on the fact that this is his first week of school and this is only his third day of school. The starting point is very crucial. That's why i decided to rush home and give him the assurance.

7 to 8 more hours and it's going to b a crazy week starting.

5 and half more hours and I will have to wake up, bit I'm not sleepy yet!!!!!

And all cabinets, no handle, we never like handles. The only cupboard with a vertical handle is the pantry cupboard.
