Day 1

14/06 (Sunday)

We woke up early to get ready to go to the airport. At the airport, after we checked in the luggage, we entered the departure hall. We had breakfast at Burger King, then we walked around to browse at the shops. That is where we saw the xbox 360 and free internet access. After a while, didn’t realize that we should start moving towards the boarding gate. And the boarding gate is so far… we actually walked very fast and when we reached there, we were almost the last few to board the plane.

At one point of time, while descending, Max couldn’t take the pain in the ear. He kept pointing to his ears, quickly distracted him with some pictures and conversation. In the end, it was Mabel who couldn’t take the pain, she cried.

After landing, I was quite impressed with the improvement to Phuket International Airport. It was clean. You see, 12 years ago, we came to Phuket before, the airport wasn’t like this then. So I was pleasantly surprised.

A van took us to Club Med. On the way there, I was actually (again) quite surprised by the change in Phuket. The roads were wider, there were more upscale shops, notably furniture malls and a mega mall, something like our Giant. There were quite some development in Phuket since 12 years back

When we reached Club Med, we were welcomed by 2 GOs. They brought us to the reception area, gave us towel to freshen ourselves up, tea to drink. They explained to us the different locations of different places and activities that we could do. (actually I wasn’t paying attention, I just wish I could go to the hotel room straight)

They brought us to the room, showed us around the room. There were actually 2 life jackets in the wardrobe for emergency use. So I pretended to ask, ‘what sort of emergency?’ actually at the back of my mind, I’m quite glad that there were provisions for tsunami. There is no bathtub!!! Actually the day before, mabel and I went to body shop to buy bath salt, thinking that if it is rainy day, we could soak ourselves in bubble bath.

When the luggage came into the room, the children immediately changed into their swimming costumes and wanted to swim. Went to the pool, water aerobics lessons had started. After a while, we suggested to go to the beach.

At first, the children were reluctant to go into the sea. The waves were huge as compared to the ones they see at East Coast. But slowly, one by one, after some hand holding and advice, they loved the beach!

Went for a shower then a late lunch. Then we went back to the room to rest. It had been a tiring day for all of us. Only Mabel didn’t take an afternoon nap. Then when we woke up, it’s beach time again.

After dinner, at 9.30pm every night, there is a show. And the theme for each day is different. The children enjoyed the show. After the show, usually followed by dancing and marcus was sure brave and went up to the stage to dance.

Day 2

15/06 (Mon)

Brought the children to the Mini Club. Marcus and Mabel had no problem joining the group. Actually Marcus had no problem, Mabel was a little shy. But with the brother, she is able to stick to her brother. Then we brought Max to the Petit Club. But he couldn’t let me go, he wanted me to join him. Initially, I joined him and played with him and the GO in the gym. After a while, he was distracted, I sneaked out. I sticked around outside, and a minute or two later, he cried so loud. So in the end, we brought him out of the petit club.

I couldn’t really recall what we did with Max on that day. We laze around, explore the area a little more, went swimming, went to the beach. Bought a float and some pails for playing with the sand for Max.

The bar area’s decoration also changes with the theme every day. For tonight, they place low tables and you actually sit on the floor around the table. Very comfortable. At 9.30pm, the children went to watch the show. Then they danced. This time as they were not on stage, I could only take videos of their back view.

Day 3

16/06 (Tues)
Tuesday was an overcast day and rainy day. No sunlight. As usual, Marcus and Mabel went to the Mini Club. Today, we managed to walk to the Archery section and Clubhouse to take a look. The Archery section was closed. (btw, due to high waves, we were unable to go to Phi Phi Island) Walked further to the clubhouse. The sports equipment were there for you to use, you just had to return it after use. So we played tennis, (then it started to rain), squash, golf, basketball and soccer. Then we went to the gym to do some workout, omg, 17 mins of pedaling only burnt 23 calories. i think I can forget about slimming down.

After lunch, it was swimming time. But it was so cold. We went back to the room to have a shower and then we walked to the archery section again (as there is an opening hour, it’s not open for 24 hours) so managed to try a few rounds of archery. I hit myself in the arm and I think I’m lousy at archery.

After dinner, again we laze around the bar area. Marcus made a new Korean friend called Alex. So after the concert, Marcus and Mabel wanted to play with Alex for a while, so I stayed behind while hubby brought Max back to the room first. Lying on the deck chair by the pool, it was very windy.

Day 4 and 5

17/06 (Wed)
Today, Marcus and Mabel didn’t want to go to the Mini Club, so after breakfast, we went to the clubhouse first. Met Alex at the clubhouse. His parents were playing golf and he was resting at the clubhouse. We played basketball and soccer and Alex joined us in this game. Our stamina were very poor, we got tired easily. We rested and have drinks. Then Marcus and Alex played golf (practice putting) and the rest of us played tennis. I think we picked up tennis balls more than hitting the tennis balls. As we walked to the swimming pool, we stopped by the circus and the children played flying trapeze and jumping trapeze.
After this, we went to the beach and then to swim. After lunch, we went to play table tennis. I shall not comment on the children’s table tennis skills. Of course, they didn’t get any proper training and playing table tennis on Nintendo wii is very different from the real one. After a while, we went back to swimming. At 3pm, Marcus wanted to try archery, so hubby brought him there. Mabel continued swimming while Max was a little tired.

In the evening, hubby tried out the flying trapeze and jumping trapeze. Think that is how he sprained his left wrist.

The show at 9.30pm was a circus show. Marcus and Mabel went to watch the show first and we joined them later. After the show, we went back to the room to rest.

18/06 (Thurs)
Finally, we had to go back to Singapore. After breakfast, we packed our luggage and the children wanted to have the last try at flying trapeze and jumping trapeze. It was a nice trip where everybody enjoyed themselves. It was also certainly a great time for bonding and you get to see another side of your children that you may not have noticed.

Sunday, June 21, 2009

max woke up today and complain that he stomach pain and has fever. think i pass my stomach flu to him. so we went to see the doc.

went brewerkz to celebrate father's day and then in the night, had dinner with mil, fil and bil. finally, mil is sitting up today and at least there is some interaction.

oh yes, got someone to get rid of the rooftop over the balcony today. it was so windy and so bright now. just now, brought the kids to the balcony and we looked at the stars from the balcony. nice view.

Saturday, June 20, 2009

my LS is very jia lat. i can only eat breakfast. after breakfast, anything that goes into my mouth will be out in 30 mins time. and i'm feeling quite giddy for not having solid food. been just drinking soup.

finally, after lying in bed for one whole week, my mil is ready to go to church tomorrow. that is good news. i hope she can control and hope her vomitting is controlled now.

Friday, June 19, 2009

back from phuket, but advised to stay at home for 7 days.

so i'll get plenty of time to upload the pics and videos next week.

things i learnt about my kids:

1) Marcus: he is such a brave boy, always raising his hands up for to try new things. he loves pasta. he is an adventurous boy. he is not shy.

2) Mabel: she is shy. if there is no marcus, i dun think she would dare to try. she is always pushing marcus to try the things first, then she tries. She is not as innocent or as sweet as i thought. she is sensible, no doubt. but when i see her play games with her brothers, i see the other side of her. how to say? it's not that she is violent, but she sounded very demanding. 'give me, i say give me' very loud voice. and when she didn't get it, she would say 'ugh' in a loud tone.

3) Max: cheekiest of them all. very sticky to mummy and daddy. he refused to join the petite club. so in the end, he follows us whereever we go. we can't go snorkelling and can't go scuba diving. but we had a great time together, swimming, playing sports and going to the beach. he's well-liked by the GOs there. even the this couple from south africa also likes him alot.
but he can really act. so must be careful of this little boy. it's like out of nowhere, he can come and hug you and said 'mummy darling' then after a while, 'mummy, mummy, i want to drink coca cola.'

and hubby sprained his left wrist on the 2nd last day. brough him to ma guang today. all bandaged up.

as for me, actually i had a slight fever on the day i came back to singapore. back aching so badly and chest pain too. left arm felt numb. thought i had a burst a blood vessel. but i tell myself, if i want to die also must die in sg, so drag myself back to sg. though the flight is only 1 and half hour, it felt so long. once i reach home, i immediately took 2 panadols and went to sleep. then my cough came back, luckily i had some left over medicine, took it and had a good sleep. even this morning when i wake up, i also felt the whole body is aching. actually at ma guang, i felt like having a massage but shelf off as it cost money. so bear with the ache.

i think i ate too much, indigestion. on the last nite, i think the chicken wasn't really cooked. food poisoining or stomach flu. today, i felt so full and so bloated the whole day. didn't eat lunch and almost didn't want to eat dinner. but straight after dinner, i LS. this is the second time i LS already.

Sunday, June 14, 2009

It's a sunday morning, and we are all in the airport. We have checked in, had breakfast at burger king. It's really cool, there are lots of shops, free gadget charge, free internet access and free xbox 360 games to play. The children are really having a good time.

last night, max mentioned that he was afraid of taking the plane becos it's very loud. I was a little worried, but after talking to him, i guess, he slowly accept it. even this morning, when we called him up, he was a little cranky and was like reluctant to go. But i guess after checking in, he saw that there are shops that sell chocolate, sweets, he was warming up to the idea.

so now, i guess we'll be slowing making our way to the boarding gate after this. if i can find wifi at club med, in my free time, i'll update. the pictures will be uploaded next week.

have fun, everybody!

Saturday, June 13, 2009

today is a hectic day. after brewerkz, we came back to quickly pack our luggage, then we are off to warren to meet aunties and uncles for dinner.

We all had a good time at warrens, eating dinner, catching up. then after that, we went to the bowling alley, some bowled and some sat down to talk.

7212 came out as starter and i didn't buy!!!!! argh
Today is my birthday. Happy birthday to me! Let me see, my wish for myself? Happy, healthy, see things positively, happy children, happy family. A more bimbo wish, slim down.
So today as promised, birthday treat at brewerkz. Still have 2 slices of pizza in front of me.

Friday, June 12, 2009

today is max birthday! happy birthday Max!!!! my wish for you: wish that you will grow up in a warm family with love, don't be so crybaby, don't be so cheeky. continue to be spontaneous, continue to be that happy boy. continue to be that cute cute boy. be a good boy and don't always quarrel with your gor gor. your gor gor and jie jie has given in a lot, it's time you learn to give in to them too.

Thursday, June 11, 2009

Max is so funny. we brought him to order his birthday cake. it was such a difficult task. He wanted the car cake but it has to be ore ordered 3 days in advance. After much crying, he decided on the mickey mouse one. But we'll only collect it tomorrow. Again he made a fuss.in the end, we bought him a small barney one as rehearsal tonight. So just now,we just had a rehearsal with him. He's so happy!
I think that max is learning from bad example. He always see mil shouting to the maid, so he's thinking that it is the norm, so he's also shouting at the maid when he talks. I'm very upset. I've put a stop to max talking like that. I can only teach and change the kid, but I can't change the adult
tomorrow night will be celebrating max birthday at home with a simple steamboat dinner and cake cutting. already bought his toys. have to keep it in the car so that he doesn't know. only invited mum, sis and aunties.

speaking of car, my new car has arrived!! but i'll be busy these two weeks, so didn't have a chance to go down to settle the payment. think i'll wait until i come back from phuket. excited and not so excited. ok, this is very bimbo. i want to wait for SJS number plate. now it's still SJR. somehow, R is not as round as S.

yesterday, mil went to hospital for her psychatrist appointment. heard the doctor 'scolded' her. the doctor asked her why she is so unhappy, she said her children didn't treat her well, didn't bring her out. the doctor 'scolded' her as he pointed out that if the son does not treat her well, whose house is she staying at now? which son brought her for her medical check up? (my brother in law is always the one to bring her for medical check up) and every night, my brother in law is the one who push her down to the coffee shop for dinner.

from this, i reflected on something. true, sometimes, it's really up to the individual how one wants to see oneself. if you keep comparing with others, you'll never be satisfied and happy with yourself. sometimes, must be contented with whatever you have. so having much said, maybe i should forfeit the new car.

ha, that's not possible. my picanto is really too small to bring my mil and the children out. the wheelchair, though fits into the back, but it keeps knocking onto the glass as the car is moving.
it's a tiring week. probably it's the weather that makes people irritable, makes people more tired.

really looking forward to the vacation next week. mabel too, because every day she has been telling me, another 4 days, another 3 days etc. for max, well, only on saturday night, then i'll tell him, 'tomorrow, we will sit aeroplane.'

so i'll be out of action for a few days while on vacation. and i'll definitely upload the pictures when i'm back.

Tuesday, June 09, 2009

right, it's tuesday already.

just find that the weather is so hot. So when the children suggested to play badminton last evening, i was like .... but i told them, we will have a game of badminton this holiday, most probably not this week as we are usually quite tired after work. most probably after we come back from Phuket.

marcus is saving up money to buy some pokemon. well, he counted his savings from Semester 1, he had $55 over. at first, he asked me to buy 12 pokemons for him, but i told him that he has to think of his own ways in order to buy more. so he came out with two suggestions, sell his PSP in order to have more money. number two, save his pocket money. so in the end, he choose to save more pocket money. so yesterday, i made him empty his piggy bank and lo and behold, $55 over. so i think now he is planning how many more pokemons to buy.

Monday, June 08, 2009

hmmm, today is the first day of study camp. well, went smoothly, at least i managed to wake up early.

last night, i couldn't sleep. think i only slept at 3am. and i need to get up by 6am. so i'm pleasantly surprised that i could still wake up despite sleeping for only 3 hours.

a few more things to complete before club med trip. so will be motivated to complete it. same as mabel and marcus, i want them to finish their holiday homework before the trip so that we can all really relax and enjoy ourselves.

Saturday, June 06, 2009

today is a tiring day. in the morning, brought the boys for their hair cut. after that, went to toa payoh sizzler for lunch, then shop for a backpack.
after we came home, rush over to my friend's house, JC friends' gathering. later from her place, went to fetch my sister in law.

when we reach tampines, after a short rest, we went out for seafood dinner. It's to celebrate Max and my birthday and also father's day. all in one.

great food, horrible parking, when we came home, it's almost 10pm. still haven't go for a shower and then it's sleeping time.

Friday, June 05, 2009

so fast, the first week of holiday just flew by. feel so unproductive.
but i guess, the children are the happiest, i think especially Max. He must be wondering why this week, every morning he wakes up, he sees mummy beside him.

well, i'm enjoying the break as much as i can, enjoy spending time with my children as much as i can

Thursday, June 04, 2009

it's thursday already. time flies. literally, flies.

hmmm, dunno what else to blog.

Wednesday, June 03, 2009

last night, we went swensen for dinner. I'm like, made a decision not to go swensen for the next 3 months.

oh, did i mention marcus broke his spectacles during PE, then he lost his spectacles on the shuttle bus? so had to make a new pair for him.

mabel did well for her MYE, class position: 5/24, level position 20/194
marcus, class position: 41/41, level position 91/191. his chinese pulled his total score down a lot. have gotten him a chinese tuition teacher. first lesson starts today.

Tuesday, June 02, 2009

today, brought the children to tampines mall to buy them a new school bag. When it's the GSS, it's time to buy a new school bag. after much choosing, the children decided on Fila. After discount, it's $30, within my budget.

while in the shop, i also bought 2 pairs of slippers, a bag for myself and then another backpack at $10.

after that, we went swensen for ice cream. after that, marcus wanted to buy a pokemon story book. max went to toys r us to buy a car. actually, he wanted something bigger and more expensive.

then mabel wanted to buy a small bag. have to be fair, one item each. so all in all, we had a fruitful time.

Monday, June 01, 2009

today is the first day of the school holiday. in the morning, went back to school for meeting, then farewell lunch. as usual, max cried so in the end, i brought him along. mabel and marcus had e-learning, so they couldn't join us.

we went swensens for the farewell lunch. after swensens, max doesn't want to come home. he made such a big fuss when we reached home. i wonder why he doesn''t like to go home after 'kai kai'.

Saturday, May 30, 2009

this afternoon, went to warren country club to meet mum for lunch. oh my, max sure can eat chicken wings.

after that, we went for a game of bowling, actually two games. max is so funny. mabel is.. well, she is learning and honestly, the bowling ball is too heavy for her to throw properly. i look at her arm, so thin.

after that, max wanted to go to the playground to play.

today's weather is so hot. even after the rain, it is very humid and hot. just feel so sticky. later must shower before bed.

Friday, May 29, 2009

today, i was listening to a damn old song. brings back the memory of when i was in secondary school, jc... omg

actually this song was introduced to me when i was in the car. that time i was jc 2, i think. how did i know the guy? hmmm, we went for a camp, then during the camp, i had an outburst of 'hong mo', then went to the nearby NUH. this guy went and his friend went over to the nurse station, and took down my number. that time, there was no such thing as handphone.

so one find day, this person called me at home. well, then of course, we did come out for an outing. actually i went out with him to spite my ex. that time during jc, if can hook up with someone with a car, is shiok. you got chauffered around. actually, i did went to his house once. luckily, nothing happened.

anyway, during my prelims, i asked for time out, because i need to study. then after prelims, i never contact him liao. so is this considered my boyfriend? hmmm, honestly, sincerely, not really.

anyway, today when i heard this song, it brought back memories of this particular friend. so it's like omg.

Thursday, May 28, 2009

i'm very unhappy at work. you know, we all go through a period, where you hate to wake up to go to work.

it does not help that you have a crying child who refuse to let you go to work. it makes you feel bad as a parent.

Wednesday, May 27, 2009

this morning, max didn't want me to go to work. he was crying so loudly and in between sobs, 'mummy, come back.' it is so heart breaking.

Tuesday, May 26, 2009

finally, after one week overdue, the period is finally here. last night, i dreamt that i am expecting twins! give me quite a shock. so worried, thought the condom spoil.

anyway, finally, it's also going to rain, after one and half day of bright sun. i welcome the rain.
It irks me when the internet connection is slow. i wonder what is wrong with the internet today? or was it facebook? just couldn't load.

mabel is running a fever. will bring her to see doc later. the happiest is of course, max. like this, jie jie is at home, mummy no need go work, so he is very happy.

Monday, May 25, 2009

every night is the same. Max will go like, 'tomorrow, papa mummy working?' 'yes, tomorrow papa mummy working.' 'uh? wait i cry, how? tomorrrow mummy don't go work, can? i want to go school.' then he looks at you with those teary eyes.

so heart pain. so today, i'll go back early after i settle my LTA thing. i forgot to renew my road tax!!! and i lost the paper, so i have to go all the way down to LTA.

Saturday, May 23, 2009

today, went to giant to buy grocery. so you know they give those stamps for every $30 spent. after we paid and pushed our trolley out from the cashier, immediately 2 women came to approach me and asked if i want the stamps. i was quite taken aback at first, because they were rather aggressive. as i only have 4 stamps, i asked both of them to share it equally.

wah, and one of the lady actually asked her daughter to approach all those people for their stamps.

hmmm, i'm speechless.
today we went to juju hokkaido hotpot for lunch. set lunch for adult was 19.90, and children, 9.90. total bill was $70. almost the same if we go to din tai fung, but we were all so full.

It's a minipot thing, each of us have our own pot. so we ordered our main dish, beef and seafood, for children's pork and fish. so we could share around the food. the starter was an egg. i think it's duck egg, very delicious.

then the food came. but the food was put on such nice, elaborate dishes, with vege and the plate is in a shape of a boat, so it really took up a lot of space. both the kids ate a lot and needless to say, the adults had to finish all the food. Max had a good time cooking.

after that, the children got ice cream, but because we only ordered 2 children's sets, there were only 2 ice creams. so max cried very loudly because he didn't have one. the waitress came over and asked what happened. she gave max a free cup of ice cream.

overall, it was a nice experience. but if i could go without max, that would be even better.
Air supply is coming to Singapore on 19 June!!!!ok, i'm back on 18 june, hmmm, should i go and buy tickets???

Friday, May 22, 2009

the crocs sale at expo is so crazy. went over to check out with colleagues, but when we see the queue to go in, we gave up.

the sale is at 4B, the queue to go in started in hall 4A, which is like, snaking inside the hall. how many hours do we have to queue?

singaporeans really love to queue.

Wednesday, May 20, 2009

finally finish my marking. what a sigh of relief.

max is already sleeping, he must be quite tired from the badminton game in the evening.
Marcus is very forgetful/blur. yesterday, his form teacher advised him to pack his bag. so arranged all his worksheets (all dogs' ears, tattered) into subjects, one subject one file. asked him to put the papers into the respective files.

as usual, he take such a long time to do his homework. scolded him because the previous night, he forgot about his homework and did it in the room at night, without my knowing. so i confiscated his psp yesterday. i gave him a stern warning, the next time i have to confiscate his psp, it will be for a week.

this morning, after reaching the pick up point, he told me that he forgot to pack his CCM book into his bag. actually, i knew that he forgot this book for weeks already. the first 4 weeks of the term, i was putting in the books for him every tuesday. On the 5th week, when i didn't do it, he also did not. so i know for at least 4 weeks, he didn't have his ccm book on wed.

i told him, until we come out, then he realised his ccm book is not in his bag. what can i do now that we are out of the house already? when he alighted the car, he looked so sad and disappointed. so heart pain, went back home to take for him. but when i reached the pick up point again, the school bus had left. so i drove to his school, went to the office. the office called for him to come to the general office, but i think his school bus has not arrived yet.

the form teacher, on hearing the announcement, came down to take the book from me. we had a short conversation on marcus. thanked her for bringing the stuff to him and told her that he is that forgetful. told her also that he packed his bag yesterday. the form teacher feels that he is a smart boy, but he is so not 'there'. sometimes, in school, we need students to be present mentally. what we always say 'daydream'.

but i think it's also marcus' fortune that he always meets friends and teachers who will 'mother' him.

random thoughts

was suppose to be reading emails, but the attachment took so long to open up, then in the end, tell me, cannot find server. what a fish!

as said, this is random thoughts, plus my mood is a little piss, so here goes:

1) there were 50 unread emails, i trashed 30 of them and only 20 are important for me to read.

2) black honda cars drive like it's their grandfather's road. 2 piss me off this morning. at tampines safra right turn, one didn't queue up and cut queue. i tailgate him and he drove in the middle of 2 lanes, not sure to let me overtake him or not. i choose not to horn, i just tailgate.

finally, after getting rid of him, another honda car came into my lane, knowing that i was just behind. i also choose not to horn, i just tailgate. red light, i stopped close behind him.

3) someone changed my chair!!!! i wouldn't be so piss if the chair is a good chair, but this chair is a rocking one, obviously it's spoilt!!!!! even if you were to borrow my chair, can't you at least put it back in the original place after using????? and this chair, the height cannot be adjusted.
(ok, problem solved. so funny)

4) menses is late, PMS is at the highest point. maybe it's stress.

5) met a NIE classmate of mine when i went to marcus' school today to bring him his things.

6) sometimes i wonder if i'm a good parent. but i guess, your own children, if you do not scold them, who will?

Monday, May 18, 2009

aiyah, i so silly. buy hubby's license plate front and reverse, only buy my license plate front. sunday's 4D, my license plate came out the reverse way. wt...??? but luckily got buy ibet. so win very little.

Sunday, May 17, 2009

woke up this morning and went for breakfast. we decided to head to vivocity toys r us to buy the telescope set and science experiment set for marcus and mabel. so we left the house at 10 something.

after buying the toys, went to the fountain there, all 3 children had fun playing. after they change into dry clothes, they went to the playground to play. soon, it was lunch time. the children must be very hungry, marcus ate a whole plate of fried rice, mabel, 3/4 bowl of noodle and max the other 1/4. i didn't order anything, thought the children cannot finish their portion but who knows, all of them were so hungry.

later, we went to the library as promised to borrow some more books. tampines central is so crowded. even the carpark behind the library was filled with waiting cars. as we alighted the car to go to the library first, there was this man in his white nissan latio. He was waiting for his wife to return the books and they have a young daughter in the car. when the wife hurriedly came back, he wind down the window and shouted (scolded) at his wife,'f888, so slow, hurry up lah' The fact was that he used vulgarity on his wife. that is verbal abuse. and he wasn't at all sorry about it. what a rotten man! if i'm the wife, i'll just carry the daughter from the baby seat and just leave.

so now we are back at home, all coop up in the bedroom, because i switched on the air con. marcus is reading his books, while i try to mark and mabel just being a busy body watching her dad set up the electric circuit. max too, as busybody as the sister.

Saturday, May 16, 2009

today, what we carried out our plans. went to lta, went to library, then brewerkz. then as usual, sister in law and family came, so went out for dinner. all 13 of us (8A5C) squeezed into a toyota wish. hmmm, short distance, ok lah.

tomorrow need to go library again, mabel forgot to bring her ez link card! so we could only borrow 12 books. actually, in the beginning, the children chose 17 books. my god, the books were piled up so high. anyway, they had finish about 4 books today.

I realise that marcus like to read non-fiction books, about animals. he finish 2 and half books today.

Friday, May 15, 2009

yeah, today is marcus' last day of exam, i think he'll so glad.

mil complained that i scold marcus too much. wth?!? if i don't scold him, how can he settle down for his exams? he'll be thinking of his psp games. i keep scolding marcus better than keep scolding the maid, right? one is your child, you don't scold your child, discipline your child, who will?

anyway, already told of plans to children that tonight, we will all go out for a sumptous dinner, like cafe cartel or manipuku (i wonder if i said or spell the word correctly) at Tampines 1.

Tomorrow, we are going to LTA first, we want to apply for a taxi driving license to stand by first. Then we are bringing the children to the library and yes, after that lunch at tampines central and then yes, back to brewerkz again. The children can do their reading there.

great plans for friday evening and saturday. The childrne are excited.

too multi tasking. that is so typical of me, then in the end, i did nothing well. so i should concentrate. finish this blog first, then check 4D, then read yahoo mails, then facebook.
I should repeat again that mabel is the sweetest among my 3 children. She knows that she has to study for her exams, she learns to control herself from watching tv until she has finished the homework.

marcus, i resorted to confiscating his psp last night. after dinner, i was waiting for him so that i can revise with him his Chinese. He went to play psp. have to keep reminding him not to day dream during exams, tries his best for chinese, don't give up.

max, drama king. he has a lot of funny actions. he talks well too.

I love all of them in a different way. love mabel for her sensibility, love marcus for his quirkiness and love max for his funniness (is there such a word?)
On Monday, brought the maid to Singpost. She wanted to send a hp over to Indonesia which her brother requested her to buy. Went there too early, so dropped by Mac to have breakfast.
Talked to her and told her that her contract will end by end of this year, so i asked her to give it a serious thought if she wants to continue. I know that it has been hard on her recently as my mil getting more and more gila. She keeps thinking about committing suicide. kept asking the maid for the key to the window grilles. that day, the children all chided her for entertaining such thoughts and suddenly, my bil (in a humourous tone) said that even if she can open the window grille, she would be too heavy to stand up. then, he laughed. of course, my mil gave him the cold hard stare.

anyway, at the back of my mind, i'm just worried that if she decides to leave after her contract ends, i may not be able to get a maid that can tolerate her.

i know she is frustrated inside, but really, the maid is also someone else's daughter too.
yes, go by this van. It's part of the package. So you book the tour with this tour agent, combi van package, so the van comes to your designated place (which is AMK since most of the senior citizens are at AMK) to pick you up, drive you up to malacca. The best thing is, we get to use the van 8 hours on the second day for sightseeing and shopping. then it will bring you back to your designated place as well. so it's a good deal, there is no worry of driving a car or for 9 of us, either we drive two cars, which is a hassle. or we have to hire a MPV to drive up which is even more of a hassle.

this arrangement is good and go holiday, should relax mah, still have to bother yourself with driving, such a bothersome.

And the driver, mr yong, he's very good. nice person and dealing with 3 old ladies, he really have the patience.
